Best Order to Read A Court of Thorns and Roses Book Series

Tell your book besties!

When the hype for this series really started to build, I wasn’t so sure I was going to jump on the bandwagon. Then, my daughter (who wasn’t ever super thrilled about books and reading) started talking about them non-stop and making multiple trips to the bookstore to buy this series and the Throne of Glass series.

Curiosity got the better of me. I knew I had to read them.

The first book, A Court of Thorns and Roses, was good. The first chapter was gripping and then it just petered out for me.

It became mediocre and a little lackluster. It took me about half the book before I was truly invested. Book two, A Court of Mist and Fury, got moving a little faster. I would say I was about 100 pages in when I told my daughter “if this doesn’t pick up the pace, I’m reading something else”.

The pace quickened.

Here I am writing blog posts about it and the proud owner of 5 more books.
