Because the people who work there are either: 1) Trying to pay off their student loans for their degree in Art History 2) Trying to pay legal and lawyer fees for their latest malfeasance. How much?? F them. The only coffee place I tip is the locally owned (not a chain) coffee place in my neighborhood that hires neighborhood H.S. and college kids.

Every place has a tip jar! They are called tips for a reason they are not required to tip you! But if they do great! And if not you cannot request a tip from them!
