Question: Do you think starbucks became the "mcdonald's" of coffee shop?
(Posted by: Jobastian on 2010-02-07 07:39:03)
Is there still someone who think that going at Starbucks is a high class experience? Even if their Coffee taste good, they way they manage the store looks like a fast food restaurant. The cashier call the drink to the Batista (and one of them write it on a paper cup) and when you're done paying they serve the next customer. Do you think it worth the price for your everyday morning coffee? Wouldn't be cheaper to go at Dunkin Donuts or Tim Hortons instead and visit a "real " coffee shop once in a while? |

Well yes thats true but i guess thats the way they make the business go faster. They make it feel relaxing and dark. Its more expensive i guess because they put more ingredients than other people. I personally think that they offer more than just coffee and cookies. Plus they also offer free Wi-fi and thats why im guessing its more expensive than Dunkin Donuts and Tim Hortons. |

I think that people are willing to pay a high price for Starbucks because it is supposed 2 be the "best " coffee around because "everyone " drinks it. And yes, it is not a high class experience by any means. |

At Starbucks, the people are friendly and helpful and their coffee tastes good. They're fast and efficient and they smile at you; which is totally different from McDonalds. at McD, they throw everything on the buns as fast as they can and then throw that burger on your tray. The only thing that concerns me at Starbucks is the calories lol I go there every week but just to talk to friends and stuff I don't drink coffee very often, maybe one tall frapp a month. |
